The membership of the Federation is open to all Iranian Associations and community groups in Australia, who meets the following criteria and subject to the approval of the Federation Council.
 
1. Being incorporated in Australia as not-for-profit association or community group of Iranian.
2. Having a proven record of democratic election of their board.
3. Performing and promoting similar activities as aimed by the Federation.
4. Minimum of five years history of activities in their respective state.
